What if I want to
change my makeup?
We work with your natural facial features to enhance
them to their fullest. This natural look allows you to apply
normal cosmetics over your "Permanent Makeup" for color variety.
Therefore, without any applied makeup, you are always naturally
enhanced.
Is it painful?
A topical anesthetic is applied prior and, if needed,
during each procedure to numb the epidermis and help ease any
discomfort. Every client is different, some will feel vibrating
or scratching, and some will feel nothing at all.
How safe is it?
I must follow strict hygiene and sterilization
procedures that conform to OSHA and CDC ( Center for Disease
Control) guidelines.
Is this the same as a Tattoo?
Yes, both are permanent. Some clients need to be
"touched up" within 2 - 6 years. Everyone is different. Results
will depend on age, skin tone, the exfoliation process, over
exposure to the sun, body chemistry and the degree of care taken
to maintain the procedure.
What is the recovery period?
Some clients may experience slight swelling or
bruising and is usually not noticeable. Most can return to
normal daily activities right away.
Is it expensive?
It is comparable to what most women spend on hair
styling, hair color, "perms" and normal maintenance. Considering
the "Permanent Makeup" lasts for years before a "touch up" is
needed, it is relatively inexpensive.
What colors should I choose?
There is a right color for everyone. We take into
consideration your natural skin color, hair color and eye color.
A soft, natural color is always preferred. Your technician will
help you choose the proper color.
Will I really look like myself ... only better?
Permanent cosmetic makeup helps replenish what time has taken
away and gives back precious time you normally spend "putting
on your face". You can save up to 100 hours in a single year
that were formerly spent struggling to draw eyebrows evenly or
eyeliner half-way straight. That's two and one-half weeks of
free time plus the money you'll save on buying new and expensive
cosmetics that rub off, smear, smudge and disappear during the
day?
How long will my permanent makeup last?
Permanent makeup is long-lasting. However, as you become
accustomed to your new makeup, it's not uncommon to want more.
You will want to freshen up your new makeup every couple of
years. The darker the color, such as black, the longer it will
stay unchanged in your skin. Natural, delicate colors are
oftentimes more vulnerable to the effects of the sun, swimming
and breakdown by the body. No pigment is FDA approved for
tattoos. Both organic and inorganic pigments may be used to
achieve the desired color.
Can I remove my permanent makeup if I change my
mind?
Because it's easy to add color and difficult to take away, your
technician will be conservative in the initial application of
your new color. Take advantage of the consultation to discuss
your wants and needs. This is where you and your
technician choose the right colors and discuss any special
requests you may have. Your cooperation will largely determine
the end result of your procedure. Remember it is a team effort.
What if I have Plastic or Laser Surgery?
Cosmetic surgery is desirable for many reasons. It's best to
complete your surgery before having your makeup applied. Laser
surgery or resurfacing may result in color loss or darkening of
your makeup depending on the laser and the color in your skin.
Advised your laser surgeon that you have permanent cosmetics so
that he or she can perform a "spot test" before they proceed. If
either cosmetic surgery or laser causes color loss, your
technician can replace the color. Your technician can discuss
the complications of cosmetic tattoos.
What if I need an MRI?
By all means get the needed MRI. Temporary tingling, redness and
swelling have been reported for women with eyeliner tattoos.
Your physician may advise you to place a wet cotton round over
your eyes during the MRI and/or take a non-prescription strength
antihistamine such as Benadryl, which you can purchase at your
local drug store.
What if I have special needs or need
corrections made?
You may have special needs for permanent makeup such as scars
vitiligo, alopecia, or health problems. You may need your
physician's release in order to undergo testing and/or
procedures which you desire. This is an extra measure of
protection for your benefit.
