Dr. Frank LeTard was recognized in 2006 by the Consumer Research Council of America as one of America's top Plastic Surgeons of 2006. Dr. LeTard came to Knoxville, Tennessee in December 1981 after completing a full plastic surgery training and spending four years in the military. He believes communication and relationships are the most important aspects of his practice. People want different types of procedures; it is important to find the right choice for the right person. Educating the patients on their options is essential to a successful outcome. Dr LeTard strives to provide the information in a relaxed and comfortable environment so patients can be candid with questions and expressing their desires. Dr. LeTard stresses, “My goal is to create a trusting relationship and help patients feel good about themselves”. Having grown up with a father who was Chief of Anesthesiology at the Oschner Clinic in New Orleans, he was exposed to surgery at a very early age. At thirteen he began working in the operating room as an assistant during the summers. When he turned seventeen he started assisting in Plastic Surgery. Dr. LeTard never thought twice about his decision to study medicine and become a plastic surgeon. He graduated from Louisiana State University and received his Doctorate of Medicine from Louisiana State Medical School. Dr. LeTard completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at South Carolina Medical University, where he was Chief of Plastic Surgery. While in the military Dr. LeTard served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Scott Air Force Base Medical Center for two years and as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Keesler Medical Center for two additional years. In addition to performing surgeries, Dr. LeTard trained many other physicians in Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery while in the military. In private practice, Dr. LeTard has preformed thousands of reconstructive and plastic surgeries and presented one hundred cases to the Board of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He was the first physician recognized in Knoxville to perform Liposuction and trained other physicians on Liposuction procedures. Dr. LeTard believes it is critical to stay current on the most advanced surgical techniques focusing on safety first for his patients. He understands that the way people see themselves effects their business and social life, as well as their self esteem. Dr. LeTard says, “Giving the patient back their youthful appearance or correcting hereditary causes through Face Lifts, Augmentations, Tummy Tucks or Liposuction is a real privilege.” He is passionate about his work and is thrilled when the patients come back smiling and have a new attitude about their lives. |  |
